The revised Connecticut Ave Development Guidelines from DC Office of Planning and Historic Preservation Office have been sent to the Historic Preservation Review Board for consideration at their September 28th meeting. We encourage all who support increasing housing opportunities at the Cleveland Park and Woodley Park commercial areas to testify in support of these guidelines. Interested and want to learn more? You can read Cleveland Park Smart Growth’s testimony to the HPRB in support of the Development Guidelines delivered on May 25, 2023.

The Office of Planning has indicated that it will initiate a rezoning of the two commercial areas, currently NC-3 in Cleveland Park and NC-4 and NC-5 in Woodley Park. The process is likely to start in late 2023 and extend into early 2024.
